Hey blog, I'm back at it again writing for all those who love to read and hear our stories. Today was our sight-seeing day of Acadia National Park, the National Park completely surrounded by beautiful bodies of water.
This morning, we all wanted to wake up at 9:00, but that didn't really happen as we all, actually, woke up at 11. With some convincing of the youngest in the squad, we got motivated and went to Jordan's for breakfast. There, I had some amazing Blueberry Pancakes, with "Real Maine Maple Syrup." Michael had two orders of the French Toast, as well as some tablespoons of sugar from the huge container of sugar (a norm at every dinner), as well as syrup on top of said French Toast. Mom had her usual Egg White Omelette, but me and her shared two sides of Bacon. After our breakfast, we chilled at home for a couple of minutes, mainly so that I could load my 60's Nikon with Black and White film, and get the rest of my gear together (one digital camera, one film camera, the bags for each, and one light meter). After we were all geared up, we left for Acadia.
We arrived at Acadia National Park about 10 minutes after we left. We went to the visitor center where we got our Passport books signed and we got ourselves a cool spinny magnet. We left the visitor center and set off on Park Loop Rd, the park's scenic route. We took many stops to take pictures along the way, so many that they need their own post after this stop along the vacation, but I digress. We drove almost all the way around the park before we stopped for the day. After we stopped, we made a stop at a harbor where Mom had business to take care of, and I stopped to enjoy the scenery and shoot a picture.
We got home around 4:30pm. Michael decided to stay behind while me and Mom walked around the village of Bar Harbor. I stopped to get a Lobster Roll at the deli next to our apartment, and it was just amazing. We also booked our Whale Watching trip, which I'm sure Mom will be delighted to tell you all about when we do it. We also walked into the center of Bar Harbor trying to locate an Art Gallery, which sadly closed. After this, we walked back home to get Michael for dinner.
Dinner was okay. The service was subpar, while the food was exceptional. At dinner, we told Michael about what we saw as we were walking around town. After dinner, we stopped at Ben & Bill's for some AMAZING ice cream. I had Cookies and Creme on a Waffle Cone, Michael had Vanilla and Chocolate, and Mom had Heath Bar. While we endulged in our ice cream, we walked to the car, which we drove around trying to find a parking spot, which ended up being on a small side street.
All in all, today was a dang good day, and we hope to share tomorrow's adventure with you all too.
(Mom???)
